Targit Boost data presented at SABCS 2009

The long term follow up data about Targit were presented at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium on 12 December 2009.

These data clearly show that giving Targeted Intraoperative radiotherapy (TARGIT) could achieve excellent local control for breast cancer patients. We found less than half of the expected number of local recurrences in 300 cancer cases with a median follow up of 5 years. 1.73% (SE 0.77).
